Betty A. Barr, Ph.D. is a certified Advanced Mediator/Arbitrator. She has credentialed with 40 hours Basic Training, 30 hours Advanced Training, and 10 Hours of Arbitration. She is also a member of Texas Mediators Credentialing Association and Texas Association of Mediators. Dr. Barr is a highly motivated professional with over 30 years of experience in the field of Education. She is a former Professor at the University of Phoenix, Adjunct Professor at Argosy University, high school administrator, and Mathematics Teacher. She taught a variety of graduate-level courses in the areas of Curriculum, Management, Leadership, and Education, delivered online instruction, worked with students and faculty from diverse educational and professional backgrounds. She also served as Dissertation Chair/Mentor and committee member, where she successfully guided students through dissertation completion. As a high school administrator, she mediated Campus Level Hearings and presented cases for students with disciplinary issues to the District Level Hearing Officer to determine their placement. She also mediated conflict between parents, students, teachers, and staff. 

 
 

She serves on Killeen Independent School District Education Foundation Board, Editorial Board for World Journal, and as a Mentor for Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). She presented at the American Association of University Professors Conference (AAUP), Texas A&M University Conference on Inclusion & Diversity for Higher Education, and the International Research Studies (ICIRS). Dr. Barr’s publications include her dissertation, “A Study of The Impact of Leadership on Secondary School Climate.” Other publications are “Higher Education: The Online Teaching and Learning Experience”, and “Communication: The Key to Effective Organizational Leadership.”
